This Mecklenburg County municipal course opened in 1986 on the former Harrisburg Road landfill, expanding from nine to eighteen holes in 1997. It is named for County Commissioner Charles T. Myers, who championed turning the closed landfill into public golf — a par-72 layout of roughly 6,800 yards.
