About Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club
Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club opened in June 1957 in Grand Blanc Township, near Flint, Michigan, with an original design by architects James G. Harrison and Ferdinand Garbin. The course was substantially rebuilt in 1967-68, work generally credited to architect Joe Lee, sharpening it into a demanding parkland test. Warwick Hills is best known as the longtime home of the PGA Tour's Buick Open, which debuted there in 1958 with Billy Casper as champion and returned repeatedly through 2009, making the club and its climactic closing holes a familiar summer stop for tour stars. After the Buick Open ended, Warwick Hills continued its tournament tradition by hosting the PGA Tour Champions event now known as The Ally Challenge, beginning in 2018. It remains a private club synonymous with big-time professional golf in Michigan.
