About Wildhorse Golf Club
One of the oldest courses in Southern Nevada, Wildhorse traces to a layout that opened around 1959 as Paradise Valley. Over the decades it carried many names - Showboat Country Club, Los Verdes, Indian Wells, Royal Kenfield - and was once owned by Howard Hughes, who bought it from publisher Hank Greenspun in 1968; it hosted the PGA Tour's Sahara Invitational in the early 1970s. It took the Wildhorse name in 1994 and is today a municipal course owned by the City of Henderson, substantially redesigned in 2004 by Schmidt-Curley Design.
