About Wakulla Sands Golf Club (formerly Wildwood Golf & RV Resort)
Built in 1995 as the golf course of the Wildwood Golf & RV Resort in Crawfordville, it was bought by Wakulla County in 2022 and rebuilt as an aquifer-recharge site irrigated with treated wastewater to protect the aquifer feeding Wakulla Springs. After a roughly $9 million project, it reopened to the public in August 2024 as the county-owned Wakulla Sands Golf Club.
