About Winter Park Golf Course
The Winter Park Golf Course, affectionately known as WP9, is a nine-hole municipal course in Winter Park, Florida, dating to 1914 and considered among the oldest courses in central Florida. Once part of a sprawling multi-course resort, it long ago settled into the walkable nine holes played today, threading between city streets, live oaks and lakeside neighborhoods. In 2016 the city commissioned architects Keith Rhebb and Riley Johns of Integrative Golf to completely rebuild the aging layout. Working under budget and completing the golf work in about ninety days, they delivered new greens, fairways, bunkers and irrigation, transforming a tired muni into a widely praised short course. Reopened to acclaim, WP9 has since ranked among the world's best nine-hole courses and now hosts close to fifty thousand rounds a year.
