A.C. Read Golf Club is the 27-hole course at Naval Air Station Pensacola, dating to 1942 when its first nine opened May 3. It was named in 1954 for Rear Admiral Albert Cushing Read; William Amick added nine holes in 1962 toward the 27-hole complex (Bayou, Bayview, Lakeview nines), and Pensacola native and U.S. Open champion Jerry Pate renovated it in 2003. This row pairs the Bayview and Bayou nines; the base course is open to the public.
