About Blank Park Golf Course
Officially named A.H. Blank Golf Course, this municipal course owned by the City of Des Moines opened in 1971 as a nine-hole layout designed by architect E. Lawrence Packard and named for Des Moines benefactor A.H. Blank. A second nine, designed by Larry and Roger Packard, was added around 1980, expanding it to a full 18 holes. Operated by Des Moines Parks and Recreation alongside Waveland and Bright Grandview, it also offers a practice range, miniature golf and pro shop.
