Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club was built on a former 330-acre Honeybell orange grove, with its Karl Litten-designed course opening in 1982 and the club founded by the LaBonte family around 1983. In its early years it hosted the Quadel Senior Classic on the Champions Tour, won by Arnold Palmer (1983, 1984) and Gary Player (1985). The course was redesigned by Jim Fazio in 2011.
