Feather Sound Country Club

Feather Sound Country Club is a private eighteen-hole club set within the Feather Sound residential community between Clearwater and Tampa Bay. The course was originally designed by respected architect Joe Lee, whose work shaped many Florida and Caribbean layouts, and opened in the late 1970s. The par-72 design plays over rolling ground dotted with lakes and well-placed fairway and greenside bunkering, and from the back tees it stretches to championship length. Over the decades the club has invested in keeping the course current, culminating in a modern redesign led by Kipp Schulties Golf Design that reworked greens, bunkering and playing surfaces while preserving Lee's original character. The updated layout pairs classic routing with contemporary conditioning, including modern warm-season turf. Today Feather Sound remains a member-focused club offering a substantial, well-maintained test in a convenient Pinellas County location.
