Fred Enke Golf Course

Fred Enke Golf Course, a City of Tucson municipal course on the city's southeast side, was designed by Dick Phelps and Brad Benz and officially dedicated December 3, 1983. It is a departure from Tucson's other four municipal courses as the only desert-target, limited-turf layout, with vast teeing areas, large greens and strategic bunkering. It is named for Fred Enke, the longtime University of Arizona basketball coach.
