The Foothills Golf Course Championship Course was established in 1971 and is owned and operated by the Foothills Park & Recreation District. It is a par-72 parkland layout of over 6,900 yards with mature trees, water hazards and strategic bunkering. A par-3 course opened alongside it in 1971 and an Executive Nine followed in 1992. The district says it ranks among the top three Denver-area courses for annual rounds played.
