Glen Erin Golf Club opened to the public in spring 2003, with a public grand opening on June 23 that year. It was designed by architect Greg Martin of Martin Design Partnership. The name translates to "Ireland's Valley," and the 6,849-yard course carries an Irish theme, with pot bunkers, sandy waste areas and native fescue in the outer rough.
