About Glendale Golf Course
Glendale is a city-owned 18-hole course on Salt Lake City's west side, opened in 1973 to a William F. Bell design, with three lakes and the Jordan River in play. In 2015, facing losses in the municipal golf fund, the city proposed closing or repurposing Glendale and other courses, and west-side residents and local politicians rallied to save it. Glendale stayed in play as a daily-fee public course while the neighboring former Raging Waters site was planned as Glendale Regional Park.
