Baylands Golf Links

The City of Palo Alto opened its municipal golf course in the Baylands in 1956, designed by William F. Bell, and still operates it as part of the Baylands Nature Preserve district. The city approved a major redesign in 2011, tied to a flood-control project on San Francisquito Creek. Construction began in mid-2016 under architect Forrest Richardson, and it reopened as Baylands Golf Links on May 26, 2018, at about 6,680 yards, par 67. The roughly $12 million rebuild cut managed turf by about 40 percent.
