Recreation Park 18 Golf Course

Recreation Park 18 began as the Virginia Country Club's course at Alamitos, which opened April 30, 1910 as a nine-hole layout designed by Arthur Rigby, growing to 18 holes by late 1912. When the club moved to Rancho Los Cerritos, Long Beach took over the property and has run it as a municipal course since 1920. It is today one of the busiest public courses in the country.
