Sharon Heights Golf Course

Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club opened in 1962 on the former Sharon Heights ranch land along Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, at the edge of Silicon Valley. The par-72 course was designed by Jack Fleming, a Northern California architect who trained under the renowned Alister MacKenzie, and it winds through gently rolling oak-studded terrain typical of the San Francisco Peninsula. Over the decades the layout was refreshed more than once, with design work by Bill Love and Mark Rathert completed in 1993. Beginning in 2019, the club engaged Todd Eckenrode's Origins Golf Design on an extensive master-plan renovation, finished in 2024, that widened fairways, rebuilt greens, and added native plantings while preserving Fleming's original character. That project was recognized as one of the standout modern private-course renovations of its year.
