About Swenson Park Golf Course

Swenson Park is the City of Stockton's municipal golf complex in north Stockton. It has a traditional parkland 18 credited to Northern California architect Jack Fleming, plus the nine-hole Magnolia executive course. Course listings date it to 1952, though a postcard from about 1960 calls the municipal 18 newly developed, so the exact opening is unclear. The course is known for its mature valley oaks, some thought to be more than 200 years old.
