About Highland National Golf Course
A City of St. Paul municipal course, Highland opened for play in 1927 as Highland Park Golf Course. Its Tudor-style clubhouse was designed by Clarence "Cap" Wigington, the first Black municipal architect for the City of St. Paul, who also designed the nearby Highland Park water tower. After running continuously since 1927, the aging course was fully redesigned between 2003 and 2005 by architects Garrett Gill and Paul Miller and reopened as Highland National Golf Course.
