Hueston Woods opened in 1969, a Jack Kidwell design on 260 acres inside the 5,000-acre state park near Oxford. Kidwell built about a half-dozen Ohio state park courses. Its signature is the par-3 16th, a 175-yard carry over water. It once hosted Miami University teams and college events, and since 2021 a returning hometown superintendent has led its revival.
