About Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course

Lanier Islands Resort reopened its course as the Legacy in July 2009 after a redesign by Billy Fuller, a former Augusta National superintendent and longtime Bob Cupp associate, on a site that once held an early Gary Player design. About a dozen holes play along Lake Lanier, and Fuller's zoysia-lined "Billy" bunkers come from his Augusta National years. Links Magazine has called it the "Pebble Beach of the South."
