About Mud Run Golf Course

Mud Run is a nine-hole public course on the south side of Akron, built in 2003 to a design by Craig Schreiner on about 85 acres of wetlands and woods. It's home to the First Tee of Greater Akron youth program, and its short, walkable layout makes it a starting place for new players. Along with J.E. Good Park, it's one of the city's two golf courses. A city budget task force once recommended selling both money-losing courses, possibly to Summit Metro Parks, but both are still open.
