About The Cape Club Of Sharon

The course opened in 1959 as Spring Valley Country Club, founded by members from clubs south of Boston, with an 18-hole championship layout designed by Geoffrey Cornish. In 2006 architect Craig Schreiner led an extensive renovation, redesigning green complexes and greenside bunkers, adding 20 new tee boxes and installing modern irrigation. In 2016 the club joined The Cape Club family and was renamed The Cape Club of Sharon effective January 1, 2017. The private par-72 course has hosted the Massachusetts Open and New England PGA championships.
