About Robert T. Lynch Municipal Golf Course

Opened in 1932 as the Brookline Municipal Golf Club, Putterham Meadows was laid out by Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek on former tree-farm land. A clever, drainage-minded routing in the shadow of the neighboring Country Club, it is the public heart of Brookline golf — and the subject of a modern restoration aimed at giving every golfer a course worth playing.
