About Woods Hole Golf Club

Woods Hole Golf Club was established in 1899 in the Woods Hole village of Falmouth, Massachusetts, originally laid out as a 9-hole course by Tom Winton and Alex Findlay. In 1919 Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek expanded it to 18 holes, and later renovation work was done by Craig Schreiner, Ron Forse, Jim Nagle and (completed 2023) Kyle Franz. A Donald Ross "preliminary study" for an 18-hole Woods Hole course survives in archives, but was not the course actually built. It is a private, classic short course known for its quirky character.
