About Andover Country Club

Andover Country Club traces to 1923, when William M. Wood — president of the American Woolen Company — bought the former Chandler farm to build a club and course; it opened in October 1926. The layout is credited to the New England design partnership of Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek. Andover drew a national spotlight in 1980, when it hosted the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship.
