Furnace Brook Golf Club in Quincy, Massachusetts was established in 1923 as an 18-hole course designed by Wayne Stiles and originally named Stoney Brae Golf Club. In the 1950s the club sold part of its land for housing, reducing it to the present-day 9-hole layout. Its first hole is noted as the site of the Guinness-recognized longest hole-in-one by a woman, by Marie Robie in 1949.
