About Palm View Golf Course

Palm View is owned and operated by the City of McAllen and was originally built in 1960. The facility grew to 27 holes when a third nine was added in the 1980s, but architect Charles Howard redesigned it back to a single 18-hole course; SAJO Construction rebuilt the course in 1999 and it reopened in 2000. The par-72 layout plays 6,783 yards from the championship tees with wide 419 Bermuda fairways, fourteen man-made lakes and water in play on most holes. It serves as the home course for roughly two dozen annual tournaments, including the McAllen Amateur Golf Championship.
