Promontory Club - Pete Dye Course

The Pete Dye Canyon Course was the first of Promontory Club's two eighteen-hole layouts to open, debuting in 2002 as the private mountain community north of Park City took shape. Dye sculpted the course directly into the property's hills and canyons, rewarding accuracy and using the dramatic terrain for both strategy and spectacle. The front nine unfolds across a sunlit high meadow while the back nine drops into a quieter, more sheltered valley, giving the round two distinct moods. Stretching close to 7,700 yards with six sets of tees, it is built to challenge low handicaps from the tips while remaining playable for residents of every level. A 27,000-square-foot post-and-beam clubhouse overlooks the eighteenth fairway. The Dye course later shared the property with a Nicklaus-designed layout, making Promontory one of the region's most ambitious multi-course clubs.
