Del Lago Golf Club first opened for play in 2000 as the centerpiece of the Rancho del Lago master-planned community in Vail, about 20 minutes from downtown Tucson off I-10. The par-72 layout was designed by Timothy P. Nugent and built by Nugent Golf Associates, the firm behind the Tour stop Kemper Lakes. It is a public course with seven lakes and views of the Rincon and Catalina mountains.
