Redbank opened in 1953 inside what is now Joint Base Charleston – Weapons Station and was built by military personnel. It covers 125 acres of rolling terrain with live oaks; the original plantation was a brick foundry, and the owners' graves next to hole 16 are a protected historic graveyard.
