About Rio Pinar Country Club

Rio Pinar was founded in 1957 with a Mark Mahannah design of tree-lined pine and oak fairways in Orlando. It hosted the PGA Tour's Florida Citrus Open from 1966 to 1978 -- champions included Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Hale Irwin -- and later the LPGA Florida Lady Citrus Open. Lloyd Clifton reworked the greens and bunkering in 1995 while keeping Mahannah's routing. It is semi-private.
