Sewailo

Sewailo Golf Club opened in 2013 as the golf centerpiece of the Casino del Sol resort, owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe just southwest of Tucson. The 18-hole championship layout stretches roughly 7,400 yards and was designed by former PGA Tour player Notah Begay III alongside architect Ty Butler. Its name comes from the Yaqui word for 'flower world,' and the design leans into that theme: crews salvaged tens of thousands of native plants during construction and replanted many more, giving the course an unusually lush, botanical feel for the Sonoran Desert. The routing blends desert and links characteristics, threading past six lakes, waterfalls, a winding creek, and dozens of bunkers. It was built as part of a large resort expansion that added a hotel to the property, and it quickly earned regional recognition.
