About Southern Meadows Golf Club
Southern Meadows Golf Club is a public nine-hole, links-style course on Rush Scottsville Road in the Town of Rush, south of Rochester. Course directories credit the design to Michael Fischer and date its opening to 1995. The club built its reputation as much on practice as play: its driving range, now fitted with target greens at 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 yards, is billed as one of the best open to the public in the Rochester area. PGA instruction, junior camps, women's clinics, leagues and family golf fill the calendar, and the clubhouse kitchen even offers take-out barbecue.
