About Tulsa Country Club
One of Oklahoma's oldest clubs, Tulsa Country Club was established in 1908 on rolling ground above the Arkansas River, and it is generally regarded as the second-oldest golf club in the state. The present championship layout was designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1920 and carries the bold, muscular bunkering that made him one of the game's great architects. The course was later revised by Jay Morrish in the late 1980s, and in 2011 Rees Jones led a sympathetic restoration aimed at recovering Tillinghast's classic character and bunker style. More than a century on, the club endures as a rare piece of Golden Age architecture in the region and a cornerstone of Tulsa's deep golf tradition.
