Big Creek Golf & Country Club opened in 2000 as the centerpiece of a golf course community in Mountain Home. Thomas Clark of Ault, Clark & Associates designed the par-72 course, which has zoysia fairways and bentgrass greens. The club's co-founder helped initiate the statewide golf trail in the early 2000s, and Big Creek has hosted Arkansas State Golf Association championships and state high school championships.
