Why we love this place
Blue Hill pairs a century of history with 27 holes above Lake Tappan, and the castle-style stone mansion makes the 19th hole special. Flexible, scenic and public, it is a Rockland County classic for a quick nine or a full day.

About Blue Hill Golf Course
Blue Hill Golf Course in Pearl River, in the Town of Orangetown, is often called Rockland County's oldest golf course. Its story begins around 1900, when a New York City businessman bought more than 300 acres in Pearl River for a summer home and built a stone mansion, modeled after an Irish castle, around 1901. Golf followed on the estate grounds, with the course opening in 1924. Today Blue Hill offers 27 holes in three nines, the Pines, the Woodlands and the Lakeside, set above Lake Tappan and combined into 18-hole rounds. The restored stone mansion still stands at the heart of the property, housing O'Grady's restaurant and an event venue known as the Mansion at Blue Hill. The course is owned by the Town of Orangetown and operated for the town as a public facility, giving Rockland golfers a historic, lakeside setting for everyday play.
