Bulle Rock Golf Club

Bulle Rock sits above the Chesapeake near Havre de Grace, Maryland, and takes its name from the first thoroughbred racehorse imported to colonial America. Designed by the legendary Pete Dye and opened in 1998, it was quickly hailed as one of the country's best new upscale public courses and has long been regarded as Maryland's premier daily-fee test. Dye's routing plays across dramatic, rolling ground with generous elevation change, framed by native grasses, water and his trademark bold bunkering and angular green complexes that demand thoughtful shot placement. The course's national profile grew when it served as host of the LPGA Championship — then a women's major — for five consecutive years from 2005 through 2009, welcoming the game's best players to the mid-Atlantic. It remains a benchmark public-access championship layout in the region.
