The Karoo is the first course at Cabot Citrus Farms near Brooksville. The property opened in 1993 as World Woods Golf Club with two Tom Fazio courses; after Ben Cowan-Dewar and Mike Keiser's Cabot bought it, Kyle Franz rebuilt the old Pine Barrens course into the Karoo, an "adventure golf" layout of alternate fairways, multiple routes to the pins and broad sandscapes.
