Why we love this place
We love Camillus for its grit. A dairy farm turned hilly par-73, a family that reopened the course two days after losing the clubhouse, and a membership that stuck around. Real hills, real people, and an open door for daily-fee golfers west of Syracuse.

About Camillus Golf Club
Camillus Golf Club, long known as Camillus Country Club, occupies a former dairy farm on the hills west of Syracuse. According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, when the farm was sold in 1962 the land became a golf course and the 1902 dairy barn became its clubhouse. Jivi Govender has run the club since 1986. In July 2014 an accidental kitchen fire destroyed that century-old barn clubhouse and some 50 carts, yet Govender had golfers back on the undamaged course two days later. Construction of a larger 6,100-square-foot clubhouse, built on the old footprint with a deck overlooking the 18th green, began in December 2015. The hilly par-73 layout remains a semi-private club that welcomes daily-fee play.
