Egwani Farms Golf Course

Egwani Farms opened in 1991 on former farmland along the Little River south of Knoxville, the vision of the Koella family, who set out to build the best-conditioned public course in the area. Architect D. J. DeVictor laid out a par-72 championship design stretching just over 6,700 yards, routing seven holes along the river. The name Egwani means little river in Cherokee, a nod to the tribe that once kept a fishing village on these banks. In 2016, marking its 25th anniversary, the course underwent a full renovation that brought new Champion Bermuda greens, Billy Bunker-style hazards, roughly fifteen acres of fescue, and rebuilt cart paths. The result is a mature, walkable layout that pairs river scenery with a well-groomed, approachable public-golf experience near the Smokies.
