About Knoxville Municipal Golf Course
Knoxville Municipal Golf Course opened in the spring of 1984 on the city's west side, designed by architect D.J. DeVictor. The land came from the Roberts family, who leased it to the City of Knoxville on the condition that it be used only for golf. The city-owned 18-hole layout remains one of Knoxville's public courses, and in 2023 it was reviewed in a city-commissioned golf study assessing the municipal system.
