Evergreen Golf Club's original 18 holes were designed by Ken Killian and Dick Nugent of Chicago and opened in 1973 on 150 acres of former dairy farm. A third nine, designed by Gary Welsh, opened in 1994, creating today's 27 holes played as the North, South and East nines.
