Fowler'S Mill Golf Course

Fowler's Mill sits in the woods of Geauga County about thirty minutes east of Cleveland, a 27-hole complex that Pete Dye built with his brother Roy between 1969 and 1971. It began as a private amenity for employees of TRW, the aerospace and automotive firm, and was known simply as the TRW course until American Golf Corporation bought it in 1986 and renamed it for Milo Fowler, an early settler whose gristmill once stood nearby. The three nines, Lake, River and Maple, wind through mature hardwoods, wetlands and the rolling terrain of the Western Reserve, carrying the demanding, strategic character that defines Dye's work. A Western Reserve-style clubhouse opened in 1998. Golfweek has repeatedly ranked Fowler's Mill among Ohio's top public courses, and it remains one of the region's most respected daily-fee tests.
