About Golf Hammock Country Club

Golf Hammock Country Club in Sebring was designed by Ron Garl and is generally cited as opening in 1978. The idea came from Sebring contractor Thomas Wohl, who first pictured the land as bridle paths before a friend suggested a golf course. The 18-hole, par-72 championship course was built first, followed by homes; the 55-plus community now has about 770 units.
