Greer Golf & Country Club traces to 1954, when a former peach orchard was sold to the newly incorporated club for $9,000. The course opened with nine holes in 1955 and expanded to 18 in 1965. The City of Greer purchased the club in 2020, following a 2009 clubhouse renovation and 2015 Diamond Zoysia greens conversion.
