About Highland Golf Links

Highland Links in North Truro is one of the oldest golf courses in the United States, dating to around 1892 as the "Highland House Golf Links," part of an ocean-and-cottage resort run by the Small family of Truro. The original nine was laid out by Isaac Small's son Willard, with a 1913 redesign by frequent hotel guest J. Henry McKinley and a further refurbishment around 1955. The nine-hole links sits atop windswept bluffs beside the Highland (Cape Cod) Light overlooking the Atlantic, and became federal property when the Cape Cod National Seashore was established in the 1960s; it continues as a public daily-fee layout.
