About Ironwood Hills Golf Course

Ironwood Hills was built around 1928 by the Del Monte pineapple plantation for its executives, in the upland Kalae district above Kualapuu on Molokai; Frommer's dates it to 1929. The public nine-hole course lies half a mile down an unpaved road off Highway 470. It is a hilly old plantation layout with uneven fairways, small greens, deep bunkers and towering eucalyptus trees. Since Kaluakoi closed in 2008, it has been the only golf course on Molokai. There is no driving range and no power carts, so it is walking golf, island style.
