Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club

Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club sits on the valley floor north of Jackson, Wyoming, with the jagged Teton Range rising dramatically to the west. The course first opened in 1965 to a Bob Baldock design, but its character changed after Laurance Rockefeller bought the property and brought in Robert Trent Jones Jr., who remodeled the layout in the early 1970s and reshaped it into the championship test known today. Jones returned in 2007 for a roughly $15 million renovation, rebuilding the first and fifteenth holes, adding some twenty new tees and more than 500 yards, and installing modern irrigation. The result is a walkable, public-access parkland course laced with water and cottonwoods, playing long in the thin mountain air. Few settings in American golf can match the aprés-round view of the Tetons from its clubhouse.
