About Juniper Hill Golf Course
Juniper Hill was created on former Brigham-family farmland bought in 1928 by Homer C. Darling and opened as a nine-hole course on Memorial Day 1931. The second nine of what became the Riverside course, winding along the Assabet River, was built in 1954 with Geoffrey Cornish as architect. A second 18, the Lakeside course designed by Phil Wogan and Homer D. Darling, opened on Memorial Day 1991, giving the facility 36 holes. It remains a public daily-fee operation run by the Darling family into its third generation.
