Why we love this place

A family-run 36-hole destination where the pines set the tone. We love Charleston Pines for its nearly 7,000 yards of tree-lined challenge, its five sets of tees and the friendly, family-owned spirit that makes Lima one of the Rochester area's most dependable golf days.

About Lima Golf & Country Club - Charleston Pines

Lima Golf & Country Club sits on Chase Road in Lima, in Livingston County south of Rochester, and is a family-owned and operated semi-private facility with two eighteen-hole championship courses. Charleston Pines, the original course, opened in 1962 to a design by John S. Checho Sr., and it winds through the natural pine trees of the Western New York region. From the black tees it stretches to 6,952 yards with a USGA rating of 73.1 and a slope of 124, and five sets of tees accommodate players of every ability. In 1995 the club added its second eighteen, Island Oaks, also designed by John Checho, which uses the area's gentle topography and natural water hazards and brought Lima's total to 36 holes.
